Vintage McIntosh MAC 4100 Stereo Receiver

Vintage McIntosh MAC 4100 Stereo Receiver.
This unit is Used and Sold as is, I have fully tested this unit and can give my best description of its functionality.  I am not a professional audio technician but am an experienced musician and audiophile with 100% positive feedback and have sold many high end stereo and musical equipment.
The Mac 4100 you are inquiring to purchase is an estate sale find was kept indoors; and by the look of it came from a smoke free home but the numbers on the glass to begin to peel in a small section along with the wood veneer on the front left side of the wood case to lightly peel.  The glass faceplate is fully intact with no cracks in the glass.  The lights turn on when powered on.  The unit has been fully tested and the description is as listed….. The front metal silver faceplate of the amp is very clean with little to no scratches.  All of the knobs are intact and  are clean and function properly.  Very good sound flexibility from equalizer with no scratching sound from pots while operating knobs of eq and amp.  The push buttons work along with the tuner dial for the radio.  Both tuning and signal lights work when dialing in a station.  Both power light meters work. All lights under glass plate work.  The tape copy was not tested.  Aux 1&2 we’re tested using an iPhone 1/8” to RCA out ….both Aux 1&2 work but 1 seems to have a slightly weaker connection and both RCA inputs have to be adjusted and dialed in to get a proper connection.  The sound quality is amazing very clear no static or poping once inputs are fitted for proper connection.  This is a 40 year old amp and would recommend a basic cleaning of the internal unit and connectors and for premium audio functionality a tune up from your local audio technician.  Both phono inputs have been tested and functional but as with the Aux the phono inputs must be fitted properly to have full signal path this may be an easy remedy to clean the connectors .  The sound quality of the phono preamps are superb.  Volume and left and right dials function properly.  This unit is very heavy and will be shipped via FedEx for a 0 flat rate includes professional packing to ensure safe arrival.
