    Description

Eclectic indeed ! The whole story surrounding the acquisition of this framed composite of die-cut holy cards is rather curious. There are two pictures of Our Lady of Consolation written in Polish. One or two cards have English writing and the remainder I believe are in old Latin. On the back there is a Price tag that indicates this was purchased in Sanborns eclectic department store, presumably in Mexico City, Mexico. The framed object is backed with a piece of wood which leads me to believe that it is probably from the 1960s but I cannot be sure. The mirrored frame has detailing that is reminiscent of mirrored objects that were sold in the 60s. The framed item measures 13“ x 16“. I do not know if there are prayers or names on the back of the diecut holy cards because I did not open up the back. It just seems odd that holy cards with Polish language and old church Latin would be framed and placed for sale in a department store in Mexico. But anyway here is this beautiful item for sale!
The item is heavy due to the glass and the wood and therefore postage reflects this additional weight.
