    Vintage 1940's Singer Model 15 Electric Sewing Machine  in Console Cabinet
    This sewing machine includes a cabinet, with the motor and a small connected  overhead  lamp.This Model 15 was used on Singer from   the 1930- 1940's. I can not read  the Serial number of this machine , but I think it is made circa 1940.

    SEWING MACHINE: SINGER,100-110 VOLTS -1.6AMP. 25-75 CYCLES, A.C. & D.C.,CATALOG Number  13.R 7 S- SIMANCO, MADE IN U.S.A. -The earlier black featherweights have  engraved faceplates. The later version changed to a vertical stripe . The design of this model  has the curvy body style with gold lettering and fringing.They kept the look of the models built back  in the 1800's.
    An Ebay  buyer advised   me from  photos looks like this  Sewing Machine is   circa 1947

    reading  Serial Number correctly,  it appears to be
    a
    MODEL 66-16 born, FEBRUARY-6-1947.
    Size of Machine only  measures approx 12 inches x 7 inches .
    Overall  size  Cabinet  is  about 32"tall x 23" x 23" deep",not including size when extended.·
    The Cabinet is the library style cabinet,with turned Queene Anne style legs,  likely made in the 1940's. Maple tone  wood  table with fold out section. Has the tray for sewing needles, bobbins, and overhead lamp.The approximate dimensions of the machine opening are 14  inches long and 7 inches deep. ·
    See photos for serial number(photo too blurry for me to read serial #-- Ill  post a better photo soon). Includes machine, cabinet,lamp, belt and motor .One of the sturdiest and simplest of machines to operate.   Weight is  approximately 55 Pounds
    Condition:    I inherited  the machine from my mother years ago. I  asume it is a  working unit,but I  have not tried it.  Cabinet needs some care, water stains in few areas, but no major damage. It has been stored   and not yet cleaned. See pictures. Sold  "as is".
