I purchased this vintage Singer sewing machine at a recent estate auction. The owners manual says it is a model 99-13 and the research that I have done leads me to believe that to be correct. Overall nice condition in my opinion, but not new or pristine. It does have a working key for the lid, the original owners manual (fragile with the front cover torn loose, but it is there), attachments as shown, it does have the knee controller as shown as well. The cord looks old, but not brittle.
I PLUGGED IT IN AND THE LIGHT CAME ON, AND THE KNEE CONTROLLER DID MAKE THE NEEDLE GO UP AND DOWN WITH GOOD SPEED AND FORCE. THAT NEEDLE ALSO GOES UP AND DOWN WHEN YOU USE THE HAND CRANK.
I did not run it for more than a few seconds because it probably hasn't been serviced in quite some time and I didn't want to burn something up running it for to long. I did not remove the cover that I believe originally housed the original motor. It has had an external replacement motor installed at some point and there is some tape on the various wires and cords as shown.
ALL THAT INFORMATION I BELIEVE TO BE CORRECT BASED ON VERY LIMITED RESEARCH. BUT I'M NOT AN EXPERT. YOU BE YOUR OWN JUDGE! I HAVE NOT ATTEMPTED TO THREAD IT OR SEW WITH IT!
