SHERWOOD S7700 AM/FM VINTAGE TUBE RECEIVER SYLVANIA GE 7868 TUBES (ALA S8000)

Description

Vintage Sherwood S7700. This is the AM/FM version of the S8000. Appears to have mostly original tubes. All preamp tubes other than two GE's are branded as Sherwood(10) or Sylvainia(3). Some of the Sherwood tubes say Mullard. Two tubes are unbranded: a GEU7 (reads USA), and a 12AT7W (reads RBO/COMM). The cardboard antenna housing (I think) has a crack (see photos), other than, no other visible issues and in rather good used condition.

Was told unit was "working" when I purchased it but never tested it. It may well work, but I would recommend a trained tube tech attempt to power it up. I sold a Fisher 500c after getting a different Sherwood restored. Unfortunately the old guy who was fixing these for me moved on so here this it is for sale.
