Dear customers, I am pleased and proudly showing off a great example of a very well taken care Featherweight 221.
This 86 years old beauty still shines, the paint looks great for its age, it's a
beautiful
glossy
black and super clean, t
he decals or scroll work amazingly are near perfect,
this Featherweight from 1935 simply stands out of the crowd, I can assure you that this beauty would be a number one candidate for displaying in a show room
For new customers none familiar with the Featherweights, this beauty has
SOME OUTSTANDING FEATURES UNIQUE OF THIS MACHINE
This beauty has the LONGEST decal or scroll work in the front that runs to the back of the machine
This beautiful 221 has the STAGGERED LEG, one leg shorter on the scrolled Face Plate,
which makes of it one of a kind
This one comes with the Chromed handwheel which it is in excellent shape
The lower Bobbin Winder Thread guide it's attached to its front rear side instead of the top, this way doesn't sit on the LONG decal
The Thread tension assembly doesn't have the numbered dial
LONGER DECAL
As expected on these vintage sewing machines, this one has some none deep pin scratches and a little chip on the
folding or extension bed made by the thumb screw that holds the face plate
even though the rest of the machine it's in outstanding condition
In addition the 86 years old carrying case it's in AMAZING CONDITION, the interior has the unique design, and it's clean and beautiful, the handle is near complete and
holds perfect, the exterior is great with a few insignificant scuffs none deep that I think we wouldn't worry about, it has been cleaned and touched up giving it a much better appearance
,

he
hinges on the back are like new and the front latches look beautiful, these are straight in the perfect shape or position the same way when the left the Singer Store 85 Years Ago or So, these are not bent or damaged,
they
look and work as they should, the
locks engage the latches easily and amazingly it comes with its two original keys on their little half envelope
The Carrying case includes an inside tray and it's simply beautiful
This beauty comes with its original Belt SINGER BRANDED and it looks so good that there is not need to be replaced at this time as there is too much life left on it and I rather leave the old belt in place than installing a brand new of a poor quality, these days it's hard to find a good quality belt for these machines, the majority belts made for these machines are thick and stiff adding too much stress to the motor

he foot pedal shows little wear from normal use and consequently loosing some of the enamel, and however it has been reconditioned with a brand new heavy duty cable Code SPT2
Gauge 16-2, 300 Volts

household items, this way we can assure you are
getting a
sewing machine with a foot pedal safe to operate and excellent working
condition
The cushion feet on the machine have been replaced with a brand new matching size and color as the original ones, the
light bulb has been replaced with a new one of 25 watts, it has been oiled and cleaned, also

he motor has been greased and tested running fast and strong and sewing a sample on 4 layers of 10oz Denim
This Singer Featherweight it's loaded with lots of attachments to start sewing right away, all you need is Fabric and notions to work with
As you can see in the pictures, this is not an ordinary machine, you probably have seen many of these 221 for sale at a lower price but the condition may be below 7 out of 10, actually I feel blessed by owning this beauty and I am very sure you will be proudly displaying it at home or at your sewing class
This beauty has been tested on 4 Layers of tapestry for chair recovery and 4 layers of heavy 10oz Denim
Needless to say it, you do not have to spend an extra Dime on repairs
or
trying to clean the dirt,
this machine it's meant
