DESCRIPTION:
Fabulous teapot in enameled ceramic and entirely decorated with scratched and enamels, made by the Swiss manufacture of Thoune. Founded in the 19th century, it produced high quality pottery objects with scratched and enameled decorations. This teapot is amazing, I assure you, in your hands you can immediately perceive the quality and the work on this piece. Much nicer than the pieces we have put in the photos just below found on an online site of the same manufacturer. We have also put historical notes on this manufacture taken from the "Manuel de la céramique Européenne". Also beautiful is the antique patina of a piece dating back to around the end of 1800, marked under the base engraved with Thoune with a superimposed J and W above, which are for Jean Wanzenried, the owner and founder of the manufacture. It must also be said that these ceramics are very, very rare, very difficult to find on the market, in effect just below we put a photo of a very little simple vase for which they ask a good 260 €, and for a big jug 750 €. Our teapot is very beautiful and very worked and particular.
