    Up for auction is a Marantz 2238 receiver in wood cabinet. Clean, good condition, it is in original working condition, nothing has been known to been done to it other than light bulb replacements. Everything appears to be working, all light bulbs work (picture is hard to see due to sunlight). It can be used as it is OR you may opt to upgrade the capacitors, etc. like many folks do.
    From "Classic Receivers" :  The
    Marantz 2238
    was introduced in 1976 and retailed for around 0. As the model number implies it produces 38 watts per channel at 8 ohms. It’s a 2 channel solid state receiver in the mid range of the Marantz offerings. It also has the classic Marantz styling with the silver face plate and gyro touch tuning wheel. The WC-122 wood case was also an option with the 2238.
    This item is very heavy & fragile and I don't want to be involved/responsible for shipping issues, therefore this item is no shipping "Local Pickup Only"  in the Culpeper, VA  (about 1 hr north of Charlottesville, about 1.5 hrs south of DC), and when picking up I can show it hooked up in working condition.
