Aluminum is superior
to the plastic versions in that it has
better holding power
(plastic ones struggle to hold tight enough on these smaller hole sizes). Also it
has the rigidity to extend out past the vise for more room.
Plastic loses holding power quick once they are past the vise jaw. That and if you need heat for disassembly...well. lol
