Marantz 2325 receiver Recapped and Restored

Maranta 2325 Stereophonic Receiver in very good cosmetic and working condition. Rated at 125 watts/channel at 8 Ω with ≤ 0.1% THD. It has been tested, serviced and restored using high quality transistors and WIMA capacitors. Re-cap includes power supply, left and right amps, pre amp, phono board, Upgraded main caps from 15,000uf to 18,000 uf, as well upgraded BA312 preamp upgrade with Sparkos Labs adaptive modules,the dial light housing was replaced as the original had been damaged by heat.
The following outline covers the testing/service work done:
· All speaker connections have been tested and are working, both right and left channels
· The tuner was tested using a simple wire antenna attached. Radio stations on AM and FM were received as expected across the radio dial. Selector, tuner, Dolby level, and FM tuning multi path lights replaced with fresh LED’s.
· Tape 1, Tape 2, FM, AM, and Aux inputs and outputs were tested and function as expected.
· Phono input was tested and functions as expected.
· Headphone jack was tested and is working.
· All Switches and Potentiometers were flushed with contact cleaner, followed by treatment with the appropriate Deox-It formula.
· The faceplate, dial scale and all knobs were removed, cleaned and hand polished.
· All Stereo and Function lamps were replaced with original lamps.
· All Meter and Radio Dial lamps were replaced with warm original lamps.
· The light-diffusing Vellum paper behind the radio dial was replaced for color clarity.
· Sparkos Labs BA312 adaptive modules installed.
· The Power Supply Board was re-capped for improved reliability. Picture included for review.
· Cleaning on all exterior surfaces was done to improve appearance.
· Main filter caps were replaced with 18,000uf 75v to give you a big bass sound.
· Power Supply Voltage, DC Offset and Idle Current adjustments were set to factory specification.
· Watts/channel was checked using a Peak and RMS Output Meter to meet/exceed model specs.
· A final extended use test was performed to ensure functionality.
· Please note: While the unit is in very good overall condition, there are various marks/scuffs/scratches from use through the years. Please view all pictures carefully. In some cases the marks are not captured by the photos due to lighting/reflections etc. If you do not accept this condition as pictured/described please plan to visit us in our shop for in-person viewing or do not bid.
Please take note there are two 3mm scratches to FM/AM dial between FM 88 - FM 90. Does not affect overall look. You have to look very close to notice them.
