This beautiful low-usage Marantz 2226B stereo receiver is in pristine condition and it is fully working.
I recently obtained it from the original owner who purchased it new in August 1978 and used it regularly for about three years. It has been bagged and stored in a cool, dry climate for over over three decades. It still had the protective plastic on the faceplate.
I've listened to it for 20 or so hours and it performed flawlessly. The sound quality is excellent - to my ear, it performs well above the rated power.
Fully tested, I found no problems at all. I removed the cover to blow out some light household dust and photograph. It is otherwise it is fully original and untouched. It is very clean inside and lacks the usual signs of heating on the lamp housing, etc.
I have the WC-122 3-piece wood case available in a separate listing (not yet posted). I will give priority to the purchaser of the receiver and combine shipping. Contact me if interested.
