Here is a GIGANTIC collection (a thousand or more, I'm guessing!) of very nice antique and vintage collectible buttons – mostly 19
th
and 20
th
c. There may be a very small number of 21
st
c., and possibly one 18
th
c.
The collection has many glass and celluloid buttons, and quite a few vegetable ivory, metal and other materials. You’ll find button club buttons, cards that collectors put together long ago, and buttons on original cards that have never been used.
In addition there are a few items (button pins, a nice show card ready for mounting, an old piece of black glass beading, etc.) that aren’t buttons per se. I thought they should stay with the rest of the collection.
The condition of the buttons is generally very good to excellent. Some of the older glass buttons may have minor nicks or chips, and some older shanks may be bent (but still usable). There is a lovely enamel and paste button that is missing one stone, but a duplicate button (somewhat dented) is included and can be used to make the repair.
I have tried to include many pictures for you to study -- please note that there are some buttons that may appear in more than one photo (say, group and closeup). If there are specific buttons you’d like to see in a closeup, please email me and I’ll be happy to send you whatever you need.
SHIPPING IS INCLUDED AT NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE, and the package will be sent via Priority 2 Day Mail.
PLEASE NOTE that the various containers (plastic bin, the storage container with drawers, the smaller plastic bin, and the pink fabric box) will NOT be included. All buttons will be sent in plastic bags, and the package will be well padded.
