    Description

This vintage 1954 KENMORE Electric Rotary Sewing Machine belonged to my grandmother. Model # 117-959 Serial Number 513409. The machine is in a wood cabinet that is in very good condition. When closed up the cabinet measures 33"W x 31"H Fully extended with both sides open it measures 65.5"W. The chair matches the cabinet and has a "hidden" seat that stores thread, etc. The thread that is inside is also vintage! The cabinet has three drawers. The original instruction book and all accessories are included. The original light bulb still works (seen in picture) and the cord is in excellent condition. I honestly don't remember that my grandmother ever did machine sewing. I think she wanted to but never did. She did do a lot of embroidery work however so I think she wanted to learn how to machine sew and never did. The piece of cloth that is under the needle has been there forever! The sewing machine has been in my home for many years. It has been used as a desk. It is very heavy!
I don't know much else about the machine. The light works and I'm assuming the machine does too but I don't know how to get it to go. The needle goes up and down when hand turned. If you have any questions I'll try my best to answer them. The item is ready for local pickup. No shipping. No returns.
    Thank you for looking:)
