    I am offering today a
    1951 Singer Featherweight 221 Black with Case and Extras AK615847.  My son and I purchase storage units and we found this and a 221K (white) in one.  Will be listing the white one separately and it is not included in this auction.  The person must have been a collector of these and other antiques (may antiques I will be listing).  I am not a collector and did not know about these until I conducted some research...This unit has a serial number off AK615847, which indicates per the website that this was manufactured October 31, 1951.  I did plug it in and the motor is working (runs strong) as well as the light.  It does show some wear from usage (such as hairlines) on the platform, but the gold trim is in decent condition and shows just a little wear.  The box has a slight musty odor (like it was store in the basement).  Considering the fact that this was in a storage unit, i
    t will need attention to proper cleaning/polishing and servicing.  The original carrier is included and has the key.  You will receive all that is in the picture.  Please review the pics and I can send more.  Again, I am not a collector of these and I am not sure if it is complete.  Please ask questions, so that there is no confusion.
    There may be what appears to be white streaks on the item, but this is from the overhead light and not on the item itself, unless otherwise noted in the description.
