1941 FORD SUPER DELUXE - ORIGINAL HORN RING -. Condition is Used.
This horn ring like most has a crack in the center tine or post. This was an endemic flaw in the ‘41 Ford Super Deluxe horn ring. See the third photo. The crack can be pushed closed. It should be repairable by someone with the knowledge to do so.
I had the idea of trying one of those low temperature repair rods you see demonstrated at the flea markets or finding someone with the skill to repair diecast pot metal but never did.
The interchangeable 1941 Mercury horn ring never seemed to crack, so the redesign would have been simple. New horn rings were probably .95 or so back then.
Sold as is, for repair or to keep in your closet for twenty five years like I did.
